Cloaked Figure

The strange cloaked figure (later announced to be Cassidy by Matt Wilson) is Phil and Joel's new nemesis who showed up during Ryaconning to attack them, seemingly unprovoked. Her blinding speed, which appears to be her only supernormal ability, made her more than a match for both Joel and Phil, but she refused to kill them on the grounds that a "mercy killing" would be too honorable. Instead she stabbed Rya in the chest, shortly after she became human, causing her permanent death.

In the original episode descriptions for Season 8, the Cloaked Figure was slated to become a much more prominent villain, ranging from kidnapping Elly to attempting to destroy the entirety of Bonus Stage.

Due to her crush on Phil, Cassidy disguised herself as the Cloaked Figure in an attempt to eliminate everyone who might stand in the way of their potential relationship. Therefore, she killed Rya, who was also hinted to be in love with Phil, and, had the series continued, would've attempted to kill Elly (who Phil has, since the beginning of the series, had a crush on). In addition, she would have later tried to kill June when she hooked up with Andrew (presumably because, with Andrew out of the way, Phil would have a better chance of getting together with Elly). However, the only successful part of her plan would have been Rya's demise.
