Otako

Otako is a robot that was built by IGM. He has yellow hair, a red cape, and a metal arm - apparently cosplaying as Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. He was first seen in GRUFFO, complaining about how he should be allowed to download anime (specifically FMA) off the Internet for free. When Joel stated that Square sucked, the improbability of such an instance (in Otako's mind anyway) caused the fanboy's head to explode. Because he was a robot, he later served as a boss in Robo Rya.

He was later found on Conventionica II at the BSCon, alongside the other Bonus Stage Cosplayers, representing the "18 Strong, 30+ Wrong" petition and complaining about Joel and Phil's voice switch. He was cosplaying as Joel at the event.

Otako's name is spelled similar to the word otaku; which is the Japanese term for nerd/geek/fanboy. Otaku often cosplay (dressing up as a fictional character) and have the tendency to complain about everything American. Since Otako acts like a "typical" otaku you can see that Otako is Matt Wilson's way of making fun of fanboys.
