Phil's Alcoholism

Phil's drinking problem is often referenced throughout the series.

Zombie — Joel calls Phil a "beer-guzzling imbecile".
Character — Joell tells Phil that he needs to get over his love problems. Phil responds by asking if he can do that by drinking.
The NYE — TOPATO: You will come for the alcohol and broken dreams and you will stay for the merchandise, and the time shares that you will buy in your drinking status.
CurSING! — A flashback shows Phil drunk.
FifeCon — Phil lists drinking as one of the things he can do by himself.
Date or Die — One of Joel's tips is that Phil loves drinking booze all night long.
Joel Goes to College — Cassidy asks Joel if Phil has died from suffocating in his own alcohol-induced vomit.
Caraga, Zombaga, Characteraga — Phil's duties on the Emmy Committee are drinking beer and sleeping.
The Terror From Beyond Imageshack — Cassidy calls Phil an "inebriated jerksicle".
Flame Wars — Joel says that Phil was drunk, and Phil confirms it but also says that the couch has always been that color.
Just Passion Through — When June mopes, Phil said that beer will cheer her up, but then realizes that it only drives the demons away.
