After Joel uses the money for bills to renovate the house to make it look like Bowser's dungeon, Phil kicks Joel out of the house and Joel moves into the house next door.

{Opening credits. Cut to Phil's house, which has turned into one of Bowser's fortresses from the Mario games. We get to see the lava pit, a door, and a ? block.}
PHIL: {offscreen} Oh... my... god...
{Cut to Phil and Joel.}
JOEL: Do you like it? I'm predicting that you do.
PHIL: What have you done?
JOEL: Well, this is the definitive bachelor pad. Uh, thanks for the research grant, by the way.
{Close-up on Phil.}
PHIL: You mean, uh... You mean the money I gave you to pay the bills?
{Cut to Joel with a floating brown block next to him.}
JOEL: {scoffs} What am I? A nerd? We don't need electricity. {Joel punches the ? block, which turns into a yellow coin block with a question mark on it.} We've got coin blocks.
PHIL: What about water? {angrily} And don't say the lava!
{Cut to the lava pit and Joel.}
JOEL: Look. Just, you know, dip one toe in it at a time. {Joel touches the lava with his left arm, which gets burned off.} Baby.
{Cut to a scene like one of those fighting games with Joel (who looks like his High Score version) in the air and Phil (whose hairstyle is similar to his hairstyle from High Score). There are yellow bars over Joel and Phil with their names below the yellow bars.}
PHIL: Look, you don't own this house, okay?
{Joel gets damaged, as shown in his yellow bar.}
JOEL: The government owns this house, Phil. You're just borrowing it.
{Phil gets less damage than what Joel got.}
PHIL: No, I bought the house! In full! Moron butt!
{Cut to a close-up of an angry Joel.}
JOEL: No one insults the intelligence of my butt!
{Cut to a white background with two angry, pencil-drawn characters (probably Joel and Phil) with their fists raised at each other. Growls are heard as Rya pops up from below.}
RYA: You know what this reminds me of? A piece of crap.
{Cut to Joel and Phil in Phil's house, sitting on Thwomps that are moving up and down.}
PHIL: {sighes} Sealab is getting worse, I swear.
JOEL: Have you seen the sprinkler?
PHIL: Yeah, I set it up.
{Cut to a green backround with a Mario-style "sprinkler" shooting fire. Cut back to Joel.}
JOEL: Well, I set up the warp pipes. Good luck finding them, by the way. He-he-he-he.
{Cut to Phil.}
PHIL: I have to climb up onto the roof, don't I?
{Cut back to Joel.}
JOEL: No! No! Of course not! {laughs nervously} 'Scuse me. {Joel darts off}
{Cut to outside, where Joel rides on a red platform that goes up to the roof. Cut to Rya, Phil, and Elly in Phil's house.}
ELLY: He's starting to worry me.
PHIL: You know it's going to take me months to clean all this up?
ELLY: Well, then confront him.
PHIL: Yeah, you're right!
RYA: Wouldn't you rather try to squeeze her ass, like you're attempting to do?
{Cut to an orange background with the words "SLAPPO!". Then we cut back to Rya, Phil with a slap mark on his face, and an angry Elly.}
ELLY: Don't talk to me ever again! {walks off screen}
PHIL: {angrily} You fool! I was so close!
{Cut to Phil and Joel in front of a door, where we can only see the letters "REL ROOM".}
JOEL: Uh, do you know where I can buy a toadstool?
PHIL: That's it. I want you out of my house, now!
{Joel picks up a glass bottle with red potion in it.}
JOEL: Take this!
{Joel drops the bottle, causing a white flash. Then we cut to Phil in a blue room with a silhouette of Joel by a black silhouette of a door. Then we cut back to the previous scene after another white flash.}
PHIL: Well, that was a waste.
JOEL: Yeah.
PHIL: Out!
{Cut to the Xover house where Joel enters a room. The party lights from the episode "The NYE" are still there.}
JOEL: Hello? Does anyone actually live here? Wow, I guess not.
XOVER HOUSE SPIRIT: {voiceover} Fool, this house is cursed!
JOEL: Whatever. I'll just sleep on the couch.
{Joel begins to walk away. Then we cut to Joel approaching a couch. Cut to a chest-bare Joel, sleeping on the couch on a red-brown pillow with a dark red blanket.}
XOVER HOUSE SPIRIT: {voiceover} The couch is cursed! You'll bleed out your ears!
JOEL: Okay. Goodnight house.
{Blood comes from Joel's ear. Then he begins to grow long yellow hair. Then we pan out to a wider view of the couch, which is stained with blood from Joel dawson's ear. Then he grows hooves and an antenna with a red ball at the end of it. Then the words "TO BE CONTINUED" appear.}
XOVER HOUSE SPIRIT: {voiceover} G...goodnight.

Trivia
- This episode has an original piece of credits music, "STTL" by Robot Sock.
- The door Joel is standing in front of says "BARREL ROOM". This can be verified by viewing the source of the flash file with a program like Flash Digger.
- This episode is the beginning of the first story arc.
Real-World References
- Joel's remodeling of Phil's House so that it resembles one of Bowser's fortresses is a reference to the Super Mario Bros. Games.
- Another obvious Mario parody is when Joel drops the potion and temporarily sends Phil into Sub-Space, which is a reference to Super Mario Bros. 2.
- Another Mario parody is when Joel goes up the platform to get the Warp Pipe. In the original Super Mario Bros., the player could sometimes find a hidden warp pipe by jumping over the celing to a secret room on the "roof".
- The antenna that Joel grows may represent those found on Moogles; small, fuzzy, winged creatures from the Final Fantasy series.
