To do this, you must have done the Early Ice Beam Sequence break, and HAVE NOT YET beaten Thardus. Normally, this is not possible because you cannot get past the Research Core without the Ice Beam. But, now that you've done the early Ice Beam, it is possible to go get the Gravity Suit without the Spider Ball. After getting the Gravity Suit normally, turn into morph ball form. You're morph should be colored yellow, the same as the original Power Suit, instead of the normal blue with light blue panels. This is because the game never had a sprite for A Gravity Morph Ball without the Spider Ball design. Therefore, the game picks out the default Morph Ball sprite to use.
