4 Ways To Enhance Your Look
A short list of 5 different ways to freshen up your image
Besides the usual manicure, pedicure, or make-up, this lists the more unconventional methods of beautifying yourself. As technology advances, so does everything else that use technology - not surprisingly, this includes beauty products. Here's a list of 4 different ways to enhance your look with the newest methods in the industry:
1. Eyelash extensions: This has been around for some time, with a few developments to the idea. While some women are satisfied with using mascara to enhance their eyelashes, some opt for extensions.
Natural eyelashes exist to prevent small particles and foreign objects from reaching the sensitive naked eyes. Culturally, people find thick and long lashed beautiful - the effect sought after by artificial extensions. Some lashes are the reverse of natural and defy beauty conventions (if you're into that) - one pair of extensions can give you small peacock feathers for eyelashes.
The best kinds of extensions imitate the natural lashes. They should look, feel, and act right. This means they should be the same color and hue as the natural lashes, feel like they're not there, and should be water and wind proof. You can have these fake lashes applied in a Vancouver nail salon or beauty salon.
2. Acrylic Nails: The first and most popular type of artificial nails, the acrylic nail has recently gained acclaim because of its use as nail art. This type of nail is made of hard acrylic and glued on top of a healthy nail plate.
It's solid and pre-made shape makes it almost fully customizable. There are literally hundreds of designs to choose from since the many artists specializing in nail art are putting anything and everything they can fit onto such a small canvas.
The more adventurous types can even opt to have the nails pierced with a nail ring, a small dangling piece of jewelry to enhance it further. The acrylic nail is about standing out. Colorful designs with Vancouver 3d nails are surprisingly common.
3. Gel nails: Second only to the extravagance of the acrylic, gel nails are also pretty common. This is applied by coating the natural nail with a liquid gel acrylic. One type can harden on its own. Another needs UV light to harden. Either way, the nail is then polished.
This is the easiest method to try. But the maintenance can be a pain. Gel nails are not as tough and durable as the acrylic nail, requiring more periodic (not to mention expensive) visits to the nail salon.
4. Wrap Nails: If you're looking for a more natural look, this is the way to go. While an acrylic nail can show off Vancouver Japanese nail art, the wrap nail or silk wrap nail can give a more natural effect. To apply, a small silken material is cut to fit the fingernails and then put on with an adhesive. When the nail dries, it is then polished.
It's not advisable to paint a nail affixed with a silk wrap artificial nail, because that would defeat the purpose. This is the most flexible and natural looking type of artificial nail.
